About Me

Well, what would you like to know?

I am new to blogging but not to writing. If you have ever gotten a long winded email from me, you will be right about now saying….’ah, yes, I saw that one coming’! I am the queen of long winded emails. I can make long stories longer, and I have a hidden box of poems in my garage from days long past. I stopped writing so long ago I have forgotten why, but now that I have started, I can’t stop.  I started this blog as a way to see what I have, but I am learning more about who I am.  I thought perhaps I would write stories and flash fiction and the like but I keep finding poems and personal anecdotes and essays tapping out of my keys.  So for now, I am going to enjoy the ride and see where this takes me, and I hope you will join me.

Now for the personal, in case you are insanely curious like me…

I am marriedto a saint who puts up with my antics, tantrums and trials. I have two boys that have my heart completely.  They are my greatest achievements. I love to laugh and am at my happiest surrounded by my friends and family. I think I am easy going and laid back. I think (ok I am sure) I have ADHD. I am sensitive-I tend to cry easily . I have been on a diet of some sort for the last 10 years. I gain and lose the same 15lbs every other year, and it is my life’s goal to lose it and keep it off forever and ever, amen.  (This month, I am juicing.) When I turned 43 I cut at least 7 inches off my beautiful long curly hair and turned it into a pixie.  I stopped coloring it. I pierced my nose. I bought a Miata. It’s all been very liberating-I highly suggest you try it.   I love music, musicals, plays and concerts.  I love reading and writing and learning-I have taken a ton of continuing education classes just because I wanted to learn about x, y, or z. I love the water-it centers me, calms me, balances me, whatever you want to call it. And some days, I need a lot of calming…

Read if you want to, stay if you like, share if it moves you.

  10. Hi Jess.
Now that the “madness” of the A to Z challenge is behind us, I’m visiting some blogs at my leisure…
By the way… colouring my hair? I’m an addict. LOL
Piercing my nose? I’ve been promising myself (for the last 30-odd years) that I’ll get around to it… still not done. But in all fairness, the reason for the delay is the fact that I used to get terrible hayfever which would affect my nose something bad…
    Nice to meet you! *waving*
